| Missile Park |
 |
| Photos by Mary Galbraith The Missile Park, southeast of the West Gate entrance, is nearing completion. The park will provide a lasting monument to the men and women who have served the Air Force and United States within the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Community, according to project coordinator 2nd Lt. d'Artagnan de Anda.
The ICBM Program Office prepared the missiles almost completely in house. The new display is made up of several rocket motors that comprise two missiles. The Peacekeeper LG-118A weapon system is the taller of the two at approximately 71 feet. The Minuteman III LGM-30G is the smaller at about 60 feet. The park will be officially dedicated at the end of August. |
